The Inn With The Well - Wiltshire

We, a group of motorcyclists, decided to stop at this restaurant for lunch. The service was good and quick. They have a diverse menu, but we were just looking for some quick snacks. The sandwiches on offer were named after TV chefs and came in a variety of breads. My smoked salmon and cream cheese sandwich, named after Rick Stein, was enjoyable but nothing special [the thick bread was a bit off-putting]. My partner's sandwich, named after Phil Vickery and filled with sausage, onions, and mango chutney, was just average. The other sandwich options were named after Nigella Lawson, Jamie Oliver, and Gordon Ramsay, although the ingredients didn't necessarily match their styles. I found it odd that the phrase "pan fried" appeared on every menu – how else would you cook a sausage?

We stayed here for one night whilst walking the Ridgeway to which it offers easy access. We were able to park at the Hotel whilst we did the walk, the evening meal was great, home cooked with good vegetarian options, the owners are really helpful, the rooms clean and with all you need after a long days walk, breakfast had varied options, was tasty and substantial, and perfect packed lunches were available to order as well.

Fantastic little pub. Mike and Meg are fabulous hosts, with unending energy. Room was very comfortable, as was the bed. Highly recommend.

Excellent nothing too much trouble. We are on a walking trip and as well as spacious room, excellent food and friendly welcome we were sen off with perfect pack lunches, all wrapped in paper no plastic! Thank you!

Superb service even tho the place was very busy. Friendly staff and delicious home made pizzas that were perfectly prepared in the outdoor pizza oven. Great place
