The Angel - Wiltshire

I went for Sunday lunch as a walk-in and was impressed by the polite and professional staff. This was one of the best roast meals I have ever had at a restaurant. I would highly recommend it.

The rooms are clean and well-equipped with everything you may need. However, the rooms are located around the courtyard beer garden, which can get very loud with pub goers shouting and singing at the top of their voices. It was difficult to have the window open because of the smell of smoke. The breakfast was average, but the bacon was too streaky and seemed undercooked. I probably won't stay here again due to the noise level.

Absolutely disrespectful. I went to meet a friend for drinks and had an empty can with me because I couldn't find a bin outside. As I was searching for my friend, the manager, while seated at the bar, shouted rudely at me for bringing my own drink. It was incredibly unprofessional and made me feel unwelcome. We decided to leave and went to The Cross Keys Inn across the street, where we were warmly welcomed and ended up having lunch. I highly recommend The Cross Keys Inn.

I only have praise for every aspect of this small, three star hotel. Comfortable, clean professional Nothing was too much trouble!!! Food amazing, so much so, that I ate nowhere else. Highly recommended! Fabulous stay!! Thank you, Aldo and his team Julie Burgon xx

Yesterday was my second meal in the angel. My first time eating there in the summer, I chose eggs benedict. Sauce and eggs were good, muffin was terrible..... Myself and my partner went for the Sunday lunch menu yesterday. We chose roast beef for £16 each. Was very nice apart from the beef. It was processed, sliced packet stuff that you can find in supermarkets. We were expecting something better. Service and staff were very good though.....
