We enjoyed our gently spiced Moroccan and Lebanese dishes very much in this recently opened restaurant. There was only one other table occupied on a Friday evening so little atmosphere was a little quiet but made up for by the friendly manager. Bring your own drink was fine with us. Will be returning. What Andy W doesn't like about Marrakech Salisbury:
The restaurant didn't have everything on the menu which was disappointing. My wife ordered the Prawn dish, only to be told not to have it because the chef that cooks it isn't on duty. OK choose something else next choice not available either. At this point it wasn't going well. She settled on having two starters and not having a main. Once we sorted this out I have to say the food was terrific. I love North African c... View all feedback.
We received a nice warm welcome when entering marrakech and decided to go for one of the tables in his own alkove with the beautiful decorated screens. the restaurant has no drink license yet, so they take their own bottle of wine for which they pay £ 1.50 per bottle corkage. the menu is very extensive and it was very difficult to go for which of the delicious dishes. After we had ordered our food, we got very friendly free dives and flat brote while our food was prepared. I went for the fatayer blahem as my starter and it was excellent with the right amount of seasoning on the meat, but I quite hot soße to dip as and when necessary. for my head I went for the traditional lamb maklouba, that was very different and very tasty, but I would have preferred a bit more seasoned / spicy to him or perhaps a by-court of harissa? the service was great by asking if we wanted a break between our starter and net. I think the size of the portion was too generous, especially the free dives, as none of us could finish our net, which meant that we could not try the deserts. I think it would also be good to offer a selection of starters for 2/4 people so that people can try more of the delicious food. we enjoyed our evening and will definitely return.
A wonderful little restaurant near the train station. great ambiente and amazing eating. I would encourage everyone to try their delicious menu. there are not many employees who have mentioned others, but please don't let them out, I see it as positiw, because I don't like to be constantly disturbed. the hospitality and friendliness of the owners was so wonderful. the meal was delicious and the owner, after hearing we fast, generously gave us a suppenstarter and tee after the meal free! 100% halal, so no risk of cross-contamination. an absolute rose in the garden of salisbury. will come back in future in any case :
Absolutely precious stone of a guy who owns it. very good tasting eating .. suppe was amazing. Hähnchen-Krieg was very good .. Lamb war was okay .. frankly not a bad place to eat at all.. if I ever in salisbury I will go definately again
A Jewel worth trying! the walk on the fisherton street from the city center is worth it. we enjoyed a pre-theater menu that previously tried other nearby n african middle eastern restaurants. while some were excellent, this is simply the best! do not expect to be gay, stylish decor or super lick (unpersonally? service. this place is family-run with a carefree one that touches everything. eating is excellent. cooking here is carefully taken with everything up to exactly the right point from spicing to plating. delicious, earthy, autumn warmth without dependency on the heat of chili. flavors and flavors. also parts were right. there is a great selection of appetizers and netzens with many veg only dishes (can not comment on vegan though. that eating seemed to be very authentic to us, and this seemed to be confirmed by the number of diners from his home region. there is no alcohol to sell here, but they are happy for them to bring their own if they wish, and the convenient outside the license over the street makes the dinge easy! but keep them dry. the homemade limonade is to die for! cloudy, sour with preserved lemons, which then beautifully balanced with sweet and then saponified with mint....all the flavor complexity of alcohol without side effects! also a good selection of mocktails are available. our hour and a quarter really did not suffice to enjoy the offer, and we plan to pull our extended family here for an evening to explore the menu further. do not miss this place too well!
I had seen Marrakech in town and advertised on different ordering apps, and really wanted to try it as their location has always had great restaurants and their North African food seemed different from the typical takeaway offering. The menu sounded delicious, my partner and I chose a variety of hot and cold starters and a main each. We ordered the food through one of the delivery apps and I chose to collect it. After ordering, they called me to say that they did not have the desert we wanted. I asked the chap if they made their own deserts and he assured me they did, so I asked him to replace it with his favourite one, his confident instant response reassured me it was going to be good. When I arrived I met Yusef the owner who was warm, welcoming and friendly. We chatted about how his business was going and he was positive and optimistic, clearly having great faith in what his team is trying to achieve. As a side note, I asked Yusef and he told me that takeaway apps charge him 25% for every order and the well known delivery app that uses cyclists charges him 60%. Something to bear in mind if you want to support local business. I got the food home and our high expectations were matched. We could tell it was all made on site and it was delicious and fresh. The chicken shwarma was a little dry but that is often the case. Overall I was really pleased and will be making time in the future to visit the restaurant. Yusef has some good deals on eating there and it is currently BYOB. This place is a hidden gem.
