What lilymoon85 doesn't like about Friar Tuck Cafe:
The staff are friendly and service good but I think the price of some of the meals are a tad high. They do offer cheaper alternatives, but we paid over £19.00 for 2 meals, including coffee, which I think is a bit expensive.Perhaps it 's best to stick with the 'specials ' which offer better value. The food is ok but not great. I liked it but I didn 't love it! View all feedback. What FoodyBoody likes about Friar Tuck Cafe:
This is the first time I’ve been here even though it is local. We went for their big breakfast as we were very hungry and came away happy. The food is freshly cooked, ample portions, nothing fancy but hit the spot. Excellent value for money. The team were working hard and all with a smile. Well done team we will be back! read moreFriar Tuck, a once-beloved café, seems to be experiencing service and quality inconsistencies. While some patrons enjoy generous portions and attentive staff, others report lackluster food, slow service, and unfriendly staff. Recent changes in management may have affected the atmosphere, with some describing it as feeling more like a youth club than a dining spot. Despite its quaint decor and good value, the café struggles with burned food and cold beverages. For those seeking a hearty breakfast, it may still be worth a visit, but potential customers might be discouraged by the current state of affairs.
