While some patrons have expressed disappointment in the limited menu and quality of certain items, others appreciate the café’s clean, spacious environment and the delectable coffee and sandwiches on offer. The setting boasts lovely views, and outdoor seating adds to its charm. Families will find the café an adequate stop before exploring the extensive gardens and attractions, despite some areas needing improvement. Overall, it provides a pleasant respite in a remarkable location, though a picnic may be the best option for a fully satisfying meal.
Bowood is a wonderful place for relaxation and free time. the main attraction is a stunning house with an impressive art collection. there is also a small shop and restaurant. the house is surrounded by a formal garden and a large park landscape with arboretum, lake, cascade, boat house and tempel. for families with children there is something special, an excellent kindergarten right next to the entrance and parking. at the other end of a plot for separate entry, is the garden with famous collection of rhododdendrons and flowers.
Dear, their experiences in the bowood house. the gardens are so relaxing, with magnificent views over the lake and the tore. the waterfalls that I am an unexpected but amazing experience, we love to explore the grotte paths and secret passages. great coffee shop and facilities. with a visit for the whole family.
Fabole half of the day spent at the big place. the house is beautiful and gardens even more. the playground for children crazy. mum of 2 well tired youngs only by playing there a short time
We had a beautiful autumn day here as a family. the ground is stunning, especially at this time of the year. we strolled around the ground that made the pumpkin path that was a bit fun for a 4 year old and allowed the adult to enjoy the environment. absolutely beautiful. the gardens of the house and the aspekt were beautiful and the house was small but pleasant. we spent less than 30 minutes in there, but I'm sure they could stretch out if they don't have a child in the tow. the adventurous playground is amazing and evaluates every penny the entry fee. it is really challenging to climb and play with different things. high rope bridges, very high slides, swing boats, pirate ship etc. the flying fox (or the todesslide we used to call) was great for over 5s. there are many picnic areas with trampolins also, really good fun. the caffe was a little tired and dirty due to the time we had there around 15 o'clock, a lot of müll and eat on the floor. the personal is a little annoying and we had to delete our own table. we had a panini, cake and coffee. I think they had just come out of a busy time, so they might have appeared. it did not correspond entirely to the high standards of the other experience. the overall staff was very pleasant and we had a nice day despite the cold!
Lovely estate. Huge grounds to walk around and the garden is beautiful. There is a hidden private garden but that's by tour only at £30. The house is beautiful inside however I was expecting it to be bigger than what it was. Apparently there used to be a bigger house but that was knocked down after the war and what is left now is the smaller house. Definitely worth a visit and one to tick off the list. The Tree House cafe was also great for coffee and cake.
