The Original Hot Bagels - Wilmington

Food is ok at best. But the wait is atrocious! Told 30 minutes for a toasted bagel, waited almost an hour. Meanwhile, you can watch the lazy employees on their cellphones just standing around.

The bagels are decent, but that's about it. It feels like the focus is more on quantity than quality, which detracts from the overall experience. They make solid bagels, but nothing extraordinary. The cinnamon raisin bagels, in particular, are disappointing. Each one has only 2-4 raisins and lacks flavor.

I visit this restaurant a few times each week, and I’m always impressed by how well the team works together. They are highly organized and consistently provide fresh, high-quality food without a long wait. The atmosphere is polite and friendly, making each visit enjoyable.

This place has AMAZING FOOD AND AWESOME CUSTOMER SERVICE!!! The employees are always so friendly and cheerful. The reason for the 1 star is because of the way that the employees are treated. In the winter there is no heat and they have to cook with winter jackets on to keep warm. A small space heater is not an adequate source of heat when the front door is opening and closing because this place have so much volume and is always packed. Now that it is summer there isn't any air conditioning for them. They are given a fan now so now it is a convection bake oven in there for the employees. It is unhealthy and unsafe. The front door propped open is there only opportunity for air flow. The workers come to work everyday seems like they never call out they are always working so hard and hustling. Maybe the tip money that the owner takes from them could pay for the electric bill if he ever decides to get the HVAC system fixed. Just saying...

Don't pay attention to the negative reviews. I've been coming here for over a year, and the food just keeps getting better. The staff is wonderful!
