La Pizzeria Metro - Wilmington

Ordered takeout from here since they don't deliver unfortunately; needless to say the pizza here make is worth the wait. They have a large pizza oven easily able to be seen from the resturaunt side through glass walls separating the kitchen area which is nice. Everything is kept real clean and tidy. Staff is super friendly not much else to ask for from a resturaunt. The food is amazing and fresh as the pictures show

The service was good. We needed them to remake the meatballs they poured hot sauce over cold meatballs. The pizza we had was good

The wood-fired pizza was absolutely delicious, complemented by an incredible sweet marinara sauce that was simply irresistible. There’s something about the sauce that keeps you coming back for more. However, the garlic knots were cooked a bit more than we would have preferred.

The specialty pizzas offer fantastic flavor combinations. My favorite is the Monkey Hill with ricotta, while my husband loves the classic pepperoni pizza. The appetizers are also excellent, particularly the long hots. This popular eatery prepares everything fresh, so expect to wait a bit. The staff is very friendly, too.

This place is among the top three spots for authentic Italian brick-oven pizza. They use high-quality ingredients, and it just keeps getting better from there. You absolutely have to try the brick-oven baked gnocchi. With a diverse menu and a fantastic selection of pizza creations—along with a build-your-own pizza option—there's something for everyone in your group. The Margherita is a true classic and offers the closest experience to authentic Neapolitan pizza you’ll find in New Castle County. One of my favorites is The Rockford Park; I personally enjoy it without tomato sauce. I like to refer to it as The Rockford Park in winter, as it features arugula (you can see it in the pictures). Give it a try; it's outstanding! Whenever I'm in the mood for genuine Italian pizza, this is my go-to place!
