My family has been going to Ridgeview for 30+ years. The same family has been running it as long as I can remember. They're friendly and the service is just what you'd expect from a family diner. The Club Sandwiches are the best around, but I DO have 23 years of bias built up.
We returned to Ridgeview after many years away, having moved some time ago. Previously, we were big fans of this North Shore establishment for over 30 years during its earlier days, before the renovations to its current layout. Today, the restaurant did not disappoint — we enjoyed friendly service, great coffee, and plenty of iced tea refills. The fluffy omelettes and eggs Benedict were delicious. We were also pleased to see some familiar local faces, fellow frequent diners, which speaks volumes about the quality and consistency of the food and overall family atmosphere.
Don't get the meatloaf
This restaurant has a very clean, relaxed, and cozy atmosphere. The food is good—nothing extraordinary, but it offers a typical flavor profile. There are plenty of options for meat, chicken, and seafood. The waitresses are polite and friendly. We ordered wings, Athenian chicken, and chicken Parmesan pasta, along with creamy chicken rice soup. It seemed to me that the potatoes were pre-cooked.
