Ray's Place Tavern - Willow

Drove the family to Kent to get my daughter to the family dinner. We had no family in a while, so I decided to make the trip. Ray was full on arrival, but we waited 15 minutes and sat. Our waitress was quick and friendly. Our beverage orders were removed and drinks were delivered quickly. For dinner, I went with something I've never had a meat safflower in every restaurant. I also asked a 1/2 southwest salad. My son asked a pulled pig to suck and pommes, my daughter asked chicken wings, and my wife, a Ccubano Pita. We watched some NCAA tournament games while we waited for our food that was delivered in a reasonable amount of time, considering how busy the restaurant was. My south-west salad was delicious. My meat charge was very good. It had a good taste and texture and was served on roasted bread. I'd order it again. We were happy with our meal and it wasn't very expensive. If we're in the area, we'll be back. Oh, and it wasn't full of college kids, though it's right next to Kent State. It was full of local patrons.

Great food. Strong drinks. Nice people. It's a college bar so choose your arrival time wise.. If you're here for a night, you'll be late. If your plan is on food. You want to go a bit earlier in the evening to make sure you have a place.

Ray 's is one of our favorites. Food and service is always good. Large selection of drinks and food.

It is quite loud during the busy times, but the waiting staff is amazing and the menu is diverse and good. I can honestly say I never had a bad meal there. Can recommend Cuban and Reuben as well as any Burger. Beautiful selection of beers on tap and bottle.

Good service and good food. The jerk fries! Wings! Ribs! Excellent place to go for good food, drinks and good time
