I've been to J Dub's a few times. The first time was late at night and we weren't there for very long, so I didn't get a chance to eat. But, while I was there, someone walked by with a pizza that looked amazing! Ever since then, I have been very interested in going back to order one for myself. Well, last Sunday we were looking for a place to watch the football game and I remembered seeing a bunch of large tv screens at J Dub's the last time I was there. So, my friend called to see if we would be able to watch the football game there. We drove all of the way to Williston to watch the game. Well, I'm not sure who it was that he spoke to on the phone, but it turns out that J Dub's is closed on Sunday! That was very disappointing and more than a little confusing for a couple of reasons. Anyways, we decided to try again on a week night and were pleased that it was actually open when we arrived. The parking lot was packed and the side streets were lined with cars. We had to wait awhile once we got inside for a table to open up. I was set on getting a pizza and was pleased to see that they had quite a few specialty flavors available on their menu. I decided to go with the BBQ pulled pork pizza with pepper jack cheese. My friend went with a full rack of ribs rather than a pizza. The wait for our food was fairly short and we were able to play some Williston trivia in the little booklet on the table, as well as watch several sporting events on the big screen tvs which lined the walls... would have been perfect for watching football on Sunday. The pizza at J Dub's was very good and it sounds like the ribs were amazing! I am definitely interested in going back and trying some of the other pizza flavors... including the nacho pizza. I'll let you know what I think of that one next time!

During dinner hours, the staff might not be the most attentive, especially as the night goes on. But let’s be honest – would you want to serve a crowd of rowdy characters working in the oilfields? I can say that because I’ve been there, too. On a positive note, the food is decent, and honestly, it’s probably the best value in town. I love their pizza, and wing night on Wednesdays is always a steal. The beer selection is impressive; at some point between 2010 and 2012, they even got Shiner on tap, which was exciting! Don't miss out on the local brews from Beaver Creek Brewery in Wibaux, MT. There’s a smoking section here, which also happens to be where the party is. So if you plan on partying, you need to be okay with a bit of smoke – it’s just part of the atmosphere. Expect a lively crowd, and be ready for some rowdiness. But honestly, that shouldn’t come as a surprise to anyone familiar with Williston.

I've been a fan of trivia nights at this restaurant, but I grew tired of having to constantly wave down the waitress for drink refills. The food has always been mediocre, and the customer service leaves a lot to be desired. Tonight, I ordered from J Dub's via DoorDash and instead of the Hand Cut 16 oz ribeye with a Caesar salad that I had requested, I received a tough 12 oz Cajun ribeye with no salad at all. When I called the restaurant to address the issue, the staff member I spoke with was unsympathetic and disrespectful. She asked dismissively, "Well, what do you want us to do about it? Are you really upset over a Caesar salad?" I expressed my frustration, stating that this was the worst customer service I had ever encountered, and requested to speak with the manager. To my surprise, she responded, "Actually, I am the manager," and did so in a condescending tone. As someone who holds a supervisory position myself, I was shocked by her lack of professionalism and respect. She blamed DoorDash for the incorrect order, despite the fact that the restaurant prepared the food. When I mentioned wanting a refund, she replied that I would have to come pick it up myself. Not once did she apologize for their mistake or take accountability. To top it off, she mentioned a previous order that I had never made, implying that I had not picked up steaks. Clearly, she only cares about her title, not about customer satisfaction. This experience left me feeling disrespected, and I certainly won’t be returning or recommending this place to anyone. DoorDash did give us an $18 coupon for our next order, but I doubt we’ll ever use it here again. Save yourself the trouble and avoid this place unless you want to feel disrespected. Good riddance, J Dub's!

Very chill and clean atmosphere, great variety, and the waitresses are usually friendly.

So, maybe I've had to lower my standards because we are talking about Williston, but thus far, I've not found better meals or service in Williston. The food has been decent and the service has thus far always been good. The bartender remembered our drinks a week after we were in the first time (and we only had a couple). The oil boom has indeed made customer service rare in Williston... but no complaints here.
