242 Pub Grill - WILLIS
242 Pub Grill
Description
Nestled away from the city’s bustle, this small pub offers standout dishes like crispy beer-battered shrimp and some of the best fish and chips in the Houston area, especially notable during their Friday specials. Friendly, attentive service enhances the experience, alongside cold beers and inventive menu items like cheese curds with caramel sauce. However, inconsistent food availability and occasional slow service temper the enthusiasm. The atmosphere can feel uneven, with some patrons reporting concerns about staff attentiveness. Overall, it's a decent spot for casual dining, but those seeking reliability or a safe, game-watching environment might prefer other local venues.

I recently had a fantastic experience trading with Mrs. Kelly Robert and her team. My investments felt secure, and withdrawing my profits was a breeze. I just made another successful withdrawal and felt compelled to share my experience. If you're interested, you can reach her via email or on WhatsApp at +13236287351.
The beer bottles we were served had an unpleasant smell, and the burger came with a stale bun. When I brought these issues to the attention of management, I was treated as if I were a troublesome customer, even though I still paid the bill. I won't be returning.
The restaurant has been renamed Texas Craft Wings following a family dispute. Overall, it’s an okay place, similar to its previous identities as Tailgaters and 242 Pub. However, if you find yourself at the bar with a female bartender who calls you “friend,” it's best to be cautious, especially if you're alone. She may not keep an eye on your drink, and if you express concerns about your drink being moved or the amount changing after a bathroom break, she'll brush it off, claiming she was too busy, despite the place being mostly empty. If you’re single, regardless of gender, I wouldn't recommend this spot for watching a game or having a meal. I suggest heading to Conroe’s Pacific Yard House or Woodson's in The Woodlands instead. This establishment feels unsafe, particularly as long as this bartender is working. She seems indifferent to customer safety and may even mock you if you voice any complaints about her lack of attention to your drink.
This small, out of the way sports bar sells more than just beer and crawfish. They have the very best fish and chips in the Houston area. Four huge pieces of cod with coleslaw and waffle fries. Some tarter sauce and you think you?re in heaven. Fridayit is the special and sells for only $10.95! Wow. By the way, I don?t work there. Definitely worth the time and gas to enjoysuch a sumptuous meal.
Can't give less than 2 stars because the food is good. But we were informed 10 minutes after ordering that what my son ordered they were out of. So he changed his order. His food came out over 10 minutes ago and he had tome to finish eating it before ourother 2 orders showed up. When it finally did make it out, my onion rings were 2 steps above ice cube cold. We keep trying togive this place a chance. But after 4 years it's just never gets any better. Always something evert single time!
