Description

The reviews for the restaurant provide a mixed perspective on the dining experience. Some diners were disappointed with the service and food quality, citing issues such as undercooked chicken, tough beef, and high prices for small portion sizes. However, positive remarks were made about the tender lamb, attentive staff, and overall atmosphere of the restaurant. The fusion of Greek and Argentinian cuisine was met with intrigue, with some patrons looking forward to trying the new menu. Despite some hiccups, many guests expressed a desire to return and give the restaurant another chance.

Really enjoyed the meal. The venue is clean, vibrant and has a engaging atmosphere. Food is very good and enjoyed all entree, mains and dessert. The service was prompt, efficient and friendly. We didn't have a reservation so sat upstairs on the balcony and was pleasantly surprised that it was enclosed to keep us warm enough. Will done again. Worth it. Also, the pavlova is massive so bring your dessert stomach.

I dined here last week as a last minute decision as we were already in the area for an event and had been wanting to try it out since it opened. They were more than welcoming of our late arrival and catered to our every need. Staff were super attentive, the atmosphere was relaxed and comfortable and the food was fantastic! We had our drinks within 5 minutes of ordering and the food was another 5. We ordered lots of smail plates to share because everything sounded so good!! Our faves were the taramasalata, saganaki, eggplant chips and of course the juicy, ultra tender lamb shoulder!! Thank you to the amazing team at HR Williamstown for a beautiful meal and memorable experience. We can't wait to come back!

Since watching Masterchef Australia I have wanted to go to Helenic and finally the day came on my BD (The best choice ever). We chose the banquet menu and had confirmed our dietary requirements earlier. They were very accommodating and the service was so good we did not have to repeat ourselves they took care of everything. Food was delicious no doubt but banquet was too much for us food kept coming in and we couldn't finish it all of course. Just when I was feeling terrible about wasting so much food, they offered to pack left overs for us to take home putting my guilt to ease instantly. They made an effort by offering to pack left overs at every table. A restaurant deserves more than 5 stars when they take wastage of food into account and are environmentally friendly. Absolutely loved the experience. Will be returning soon.

It's unfortunate, that the day we dined here was the last one for Greek Cuisine. From Friday, 8th Nov 2019, Hellenic Hotel is going to dish-out Argentinian Cuisine. Well, hopefully, they live up to the Greek standards. Beautifully done-up hote converted into restaurant gets a full five for the Spot-Roast Chicken which wasperfectly juicy, very tender and had super crisp skin and lathered with Maidanosalata (Greek Garlic Paste from Syros Island). The Fried Eggplants with sticky Pomegranate and served with Yoghurt was super crisp and nice. Dips consisting of Hummus, Tzatziki and Taramasalata served with Freshly baked Pita were quite refreshing. Last but not the least, the Greek Coffee was a perfect way to end our meal. Pricing and portion size goes hand in hand. Attendants are quite energetic and helpful. In all, we would definitely want to come back and try the Argentinian cuisine sometime soon

We booked for dinner for three. We ordered the taramosalata with bread to start, then the spanakopita, half roast chicken and half lamb shoulder with chips and grain salad. Everything was cooked to perfection, and quite delicious, except the spanakopita which was gluggy and a little bitter. The venue is quite large. This meant it was also quite noisy, and the music was turned up quite loud too. We were seated right next to the glass front and were feeling cold the whole time, we didn't take out jackets off. Would return and recommend the food.
