If you find yourself in the Barossa Valley area, make sure to stop by this restaurant. It truly is a hidden gem. The scones with jam and cream were deliciously warm, the ciabatta rolls were large and of excellent quality. I opted for the banana bread and we got some brownies to go - only $2 each and big enough to share. The coffee was also top-notch. The staff were friendly and helpful, and the prices were very reaso... View all feedback.
For a small bakery this would have to be one of the best ---- the cakes and pies are made in house and they taste so delish --- seating outside under the vines with coffee delightful
Bar 41 was highly recommended as having one of the best burgers in South Australia.
I believe I just had the best burger ever! My mother loved her salmon cakes too. I will definitely return for another burger.
Bar41 is a smallish cafe in the middle of Williamstown. It's decorated in the country rustic style so many eateries do nowadays. It was ok I guess. Our food was ricotta bruschetta with basil and honey. A somewhat strange combination but tasted OK. What spoilt it were the peppercorns on top. Not only are they a tooth breaker but way too strong. I was tasting pepper for the remainder of the day. Coffee was hot but very weak. Also interesting to note the owner's reaction when 12 Asian tourists turned up for lunch. They enquired about tables and the owner's response was somewhat abrupt, informing them the group was too large and they'd have to sit wherever they could. They proceeded to order 12 burgers and coffee. Perhaps the owner should be a little more friendly and grateful when a $200 order walks in the door.
We stopped here on the way to the Barossa and tried their take on a bacon & egg roll as well as the chicken salad - both were amazing! I'd go as far to say it was the best bacon & egg dish we've ever had.
