Morrone's Pub
Description
**A Tavern’s Transformation: Balancing Tradition and Trend**
Once a beloved sandwich shop boasting hearty meals and a loyal clientele, this tavern has shifted its focus to cater primarily to the college crowd. While deep-fried appetizers dominate the menu, the welcoming atmosphere remains intact, attracting both younger patrons and those looking for a relaxed experience. The friendly bartenders deliver excellent service, and the spacious setting enhances the pub vibe. Despite the changes, some diners appreciate the establishment in quieter seasons, when it offers a more laid-back ambiance. As it adapts to new trends, the tavern continues to strive for a balance between nostalgia and contemporary appeal.
Feedback
This place is a popular spot for college students, but I really enjoyed it even as an older patron. The atmosphere is very clean and spacious. The bartenders were friendly and put in a lot of effort. The selection and prices were quite reasonable. I would definitely return!
I really enjoy this place during the summer. With all the college students gone, it’s nice and quiet. The staff is fantastic, and the drink prices are reasonable. It’s a beautiful pub that truly has an authentic pub atmosphere.
Great place with a great atmosphere, amazing staff and affordable prices. Only thing is that you have to pay to play any music.
This tavern is not what it used to be. Hear me out, I know I 'm a curmudgeon, but ... This used to be our favorite sandwich shop and we 'd meet friends here every Tuesday night for dinner and a beer. Not anymore. The only food they serve is deep fried appetizers, and it now caters to the college aged drinking crowd, who are there to socialize and consume large quantities of beer. The wait staff is friendly, but it 's not the same calibre as the wait staff before it changed hands. Those guys John and Matty are at the Old Corner now, and they 're missed. John is the kind of guy who will drive to the grocery store for bananas for a custom order of Peanut Butter Nanner Sandwiches and once he even went out for strawberries so Matty could make me a birthday shortcake. It was small and humble, but it had great food The Monster roast beef sandwich and cold beer. Now, it 's more for a younger crowd on a liquid diet. Oh well.
