Nestled in Williamsburg, this grill restaurant is garnering attention for its standout flavors and inviting atmosphere. Diners rave about the smoky meats, especially the brisket and ribs, complemented by delicious sides like cornbread and creamy poblano mac and cheese. While service experiences vary, many guests appreciate the friendly and attentive staff. Unique offerings, such as pork belly bites and delectable desserts like banana pudding, enhance the experience. I’m speechless! The service was top notch and the food....well I’m definitely taking my family back for more. The pork belly bites are the highlight of the starter menu along with the smoked pimento cheese. As for the meats, brisket is the best I’ve had in all my travels! The pulled pork and chicken was tender, moist and seasoned to perfection! All served piping hot and ready to go. The pablano Mac and cheese was to die for. The fries were excellent but the sweet potato waffle fries were definitely worth every bite. The fried pork belly was equally amazing! My son had the Bahn mi sandwich which he talked about the whole back to our resort. It too was fantastic. So much for being speechless, definitely one the top meals I’ve ever had. The only thing I’d like to see is a smoked artisan sausage added to the menu. Yes, it is a little pricier than normal low end bbq, but with locally sourced and sustainable menu items, the freshness and love put into the product is definitely noticeable. And the few more ‘exotic’ menu items are a great way to introduce something new but in a comfortable and familiar way. So for the few negative reviews I’ve read, it definitely wasn’t our experience. Nor was it he experience of the other diners we could hear raving about the food. This place is now in my top 5 eateries that I’ve ever visited.
This place is amazing! I adore brisket, and this place serves the best. The brisket has plenty of fat, making it incredibly juicy. I decided to try the pork belly and was not disappointed - thick slices of pork with crispy fat edges. It was heavenly! The potato salad with bacon reminded me of my German grandmother's recipe. The cole slaw was crunchy, tangy, and perfectly creamy with a little kick. Our server, Brian, was fantastic. He even recommended the Heritage Brewing Mint Chocolate Chip pint, which was interesting and delicious. If you're in or near Williamsburg, VA, you must visit this BBQ joint!
We had a large party on the last night of our family vacation last night. The staff was very friendly and accommodating. The atmosphere was great facilities were clean. But none of that compares to the food. OMG so good. Everyone in our party was impressed. I had the sweet and spicy wings, the pork belly tacos, mac cheese and cornbread. Everything was Delicious and authentic. Great meal to end our family trip on. Highly recommend.
We LOVED this BBQ! All meat was very moist and seasoned well. The sides were unique and delicious. They offered a great variety for all who dined. Our server Kris was amazing.
Staff was distant and distracted. The brisket was gummy and gross, could not even eat it. The dollar up charge queso garlic mac was just noddles and cheese with no taste of fresh garlic at all. The coleslaw was so bland and lacked any flavor whatsoever. All in all not good and will not be back here. Not sure how this place has a 4.5 star review unless they are reviewingthemselves. For a meal that would have been almost 40.00 per person i would expect higher quality. The only thing that was goodwas the pot belly bites and fries.
