Nestled alongside the Cumberland River, this restaurant offers a welcoming atmosphere and friendly service, making it a favored destination for locals and visitors alike. Diners can enjoy beautiful river views from both indoor and outdoor seating. While the burgers receive praise for their generous portions and taste, some dishes fall short of expectations, particularly a disappointing Reuben and lukewarm fries. The menu features comforting favorites like steak sandwiches and unique specialty drinks, such as Lemonade Whiskey. Overall, while the food can be hit-or-miss, the enjoyable ambiance and community feel make it worth a visit.

What Elizabeth Johnson dislikes about G E Drive In:
Great patio overlooking river. Bake beans, coleslaw, BLT all great, but the worst excuse for a Reuben I have ever had. Waited 54 minutes for food. After I went in to complain about the sandwich the lady said it was one and that was all. After picking at the sandwich to find parts to try and eat she came out and said if I hadn't eaten half of it she would have changed it to something else. I had asked for money I just... This restaurant serves homemade dishes that are excellent. The service is great and the atmosphere is perfect for a dinner meal. The price per person is between $10 and $20. The recommended dishes are the Hamburger and Philly Cheese Steak. Overall, I give a rating of 5 for the food, service, and atmosphere.
They advised against getting the double cheeseburger, but I decided to go for it. It was so big that I had to press it down with my hand to make it a manageable size. I'm glad I didn't order fries because the burger alone was more than enough. If you're going to order the double cheeseburger, just get a drink with it. You definitely won't be able to finish both the burger and the fries. The Beast Burger joint in Williamsburg is a popular spot, so make sure to arrive early to secure a parking spot. The service was excellent and the meal was perfect for lunch. Each person can expect to spend $10-20. I highly recommend trying the cheeseburger and fries. There's plenty of parking available, and it's free.
We had the best food of our entire vacation at this restaurant! The food was excellent, the waitress was adorable and friendly, and the restaurant itself was great. We enjoyed the Philly cheese steak sandwich platter, cheeseburger, and corn dog, all of which were very delicious. The outdoor seating area was also very nice, with a swing being the highlight. The meal was for lunch and cost around $1-10 per person. The food, service, and atmosphere all received a perfect score of 5. We highly recommend trying the Philly cheese steak sandwich platter, Philly cheese steak, fries, cheeseburger, French fries, chili dog, and tater tots.
Excellent food! Chef very accommodating! Server friendly! Nothing fancy, but great place to eat!
