We have been there a few time already. Everyone is so friendly, courteous, and efficient. Love how organized the staff is as well. Thanks, Jan
Seafood all very fresh. The flash fried oysters and fried green tomato appetizers were excellent. We had different entrees and all were very good. Service was top shelf.
Berretâs Restaurant gave us one of the best meals weâve ever had. Lovely, casual dining room. Great menu. Friendly people from the moment we walked in until we left. Delicious salads. Excellent, excellent entrees. The best crab cakes we have ever eaten. Marvelous texture, flavor and presentation. The pistachio encrusted salmon was perfect. The blueberry peach cast iron cobbler was fantastic. One thing that we really can say about this restaurant is that you can sit, dine and actually hear the conversation at the table!! It was wonderful. If I was to have one complaint, it would be the dipping oil used for the soft, warm bread. It had very little flavor or color. But then, the bread was so good that the oil was not really needed. Berretâs is a great restaurant! Thank you!!
Berret's Restaurant in Williamsburg offers outstanding food and service at a very decent price. Whether you're enjoying calamari, soups, salads, sandwiches, or seafood entrees, everything is prepared and served perfectly. The portions are huge, the quality is awesome, and the staff is attentive and friendly. Private rooms are available for special occasions, and the atmosphere is perfect for a lovely dinner experience. From oysters and crab dip to salmon and chicken entrees, followed by delicious desserts, each dish is superb. With excellent service and expertly cooked meals, Berret's is a must-visit spot in Williamsburg.

The service was lacking. The starter and main course arrived at the same time, and our server seemed unsure about how to serve wine. While the food was good, the overall bill felt too high for the experience.
We had a wonderful experience at the restaurant. The service was friendly, genuine, and prompt. The food was tasty and reasonably priced. We ordered the daily specials and some appetizers. Although the decor is somewhat outdated, the restaurant is clean and inviting. I would definitely return, especially if I have friends visiting from out of town.
The oysters were fresh and delicious. And the fish and chips were really excellent.
Management was very accommodating, service was excellent as well as was the food.

Our server was wonderful, and very knowledgeable about the menu. So pleasant after a long weekend, we needed a relaxing and wonderful dinner. Thank you!
We booked Berretts for Friday and Saturday nights dinner. We weren’t sure which night would fit our schedule better. We fully intended to cancel one reservation. We dined there on Friday night. The food was so outstanding we went back again in Saturday night! The price is really reasonable for what you get. The portions are huge. The quality is awesome! Service was outstanding. We ate at the taproom Saturday and the sevice wasn’t quite as good but food was still amazing!
The food was delicious, but the atmosphere could use some improvement. The service was excellent.
Although the service was excellent, the food was good but definitely not worth the high price. The portion sizes were not satisfying for the cost.

I always enjoy a fantastic meal and evening at Berrets. I'm not usually a fish person, but my steak was absolutely perfect, and our server was a delight!
I had the most delicious kids' drinks and menu I've ever seen! My toddler absolutely loved it. The waiter was very polite, and the food was outstanding!
We had reservations for 15 to celebrate our daughter's graduation from W&M. The private room and service were wonderful. And the food was even better. Thanks for making it such a great celebration
A little bit of a wait to get seated but the food was excellent! Mike our waiter was awesome. He was very attentive.

I always enjoy slipping out of the fray to Berret's. It's a quick walk behind Market Square to what feels like a calm and cozy spot to take a breath, refresh with a lovely cocktail, and sink in to the freshest seafood available. I've enjoyed everythingI've had here. So have my friends. I wouldn't hesitate to try whatever suits your fancy. The prices are higher but thequality and service leave you confident it was worth it. And then some. Pictured is the Red, Whit, and Blue entree with ablood orange margarita. Enjoy!
So I will start off by saying the pesto crab dip is quite good; very rich and thick and the pita chips that come with it are great. We ordered the Red, White, and Blue Plate and the Blue Plate. To be honest, the entrees were incredibly bland. It seemedlike they wanted the ingredients to speak for themselves, and they did not say much. The crab cake tasted like an old pooltowel. The mashed potatoes were okay; they were sweet which I was not expecting. The bread tasted like pizza crust for somereason. The salmon was bland and boring. The scallops were just scallops, the same with the shrimp. The Oysters Rockefeller taste like a spinach frittata. Maybe it’s because I’m a huge seafood fan, or maybe it’s because the restaurant is inWilliamsburg. I wanted so much to enjoy the food but I was honestly let down.
Consider making a reservation for dining here. We did not have a reservation and we had about a 30 minute wait for a table in the bar area. All of the entrees were very good. We had a daily special tuna steak with shrimp and rice, shrimp two ways withmashed potatoes and mahi with shrimp and potatoes. Very pleased with our dining experience.
The outdoor patio dining area is really nice the oysters are excellent. Dessert was awesome. Tom our server was fantastic ???? he really made our experience memorable
Friends referred us to this restaurant saying its amazing. We are so happy we ate here. The atmosphere was festive. While waiting to be seated, we sat outside listening to music on the patio and drinking a beer. The wait staff was very attentive andknowledgeable. The main focus was the food. The presentation of the food was very creative and appealing to the eye. The foodwas very flavorful and delicious. We enjoyed every minute eating it.
