We had a fantastic experience! This restaurant is our go-to spot for birthdays and special occasions. The food is amazing, it's educational, and overall, we had a lot of fun! Be sure to book at least six months in advance! View all feedback.
This is such a great little place. Not quite a restaurant, not quite cooking class. More like a quaint dining experience. My wife and I wish we'd found this place sooner! We both enjoy eating quality food where the flavors stand on their own merits, that dont need a ton of ingredients or intricate preparation to taste good. On top of tasty food, there were great nuggets of info with the food science and chemistry of the ingredients! Worth every penny!
I don’t know what to call this place! It’s half restaurant, half culinary arts school, half piano bar, half slap-stick routine, half stand up comedy and another half chef supply store!Whatever it is, it is a full evening of fun and great food. Chef Gonzales and his sidekick Nick kept us entertained, but the real work horse of the place is Sheree (sp.? who kept all the wine glasses filled and food placed before us. She was non-stop motion taking care of the guests! An evening here is not only fun, but it’s educational. We learned not only about “how” to make some delicious food, but also we learned about why we should choose specific ingredients for these recipes. As a restaurant, the food itself is worth the entry fee. Dining over the course of three hours is relaxing and it allows us time to meet other guests and savor the food before us.We had a volunteer pianist from William Mary, who also was an excellent drummer, who demonstrated both skills. If he learns to cook, this place might have competition in the future! Not sure if he’ll be able to replace Neil Peart, though.Just as the wines were well-paired with the courses, chef and sous-chef were well paired as a “punny” pair of nyuk-nyuks hurling lame duck laughables and predictable puns. The two together are a Laurel Hardy/Abbott Costello routine that feed well off each other (pun intended .All tolled, this is a great place to take your spouse or a date. You will have a blast and leave with a full, happy belly!
This was a great experience and the food was excellent! Loved it!

A couple of years ago, we were invited to a special event at this restaurant, and it was an enjoyable experience. We were entertained by a dynamic duo—a speaker and a chef—who not only explained the meal but also prepared it right in front of us. It was a fantastic evening, perfect for spending quality time with a partner, friends, or business associates. Hats off to this unique experience in Williamsburg!
