Quite busy for a Monday night. Ordered their spicy pork sizzling plate which was delicious. Their hot and spicy fried chicken was a good amount of kick plus a hint of sweetness. However I did not like the cheesy snow fried chicken, it was not real cheese they use but some sort of powder on top and I'm just not used to the taste of it, my friend found it okay though. Also, they don't provide gloves just fyi. View all feedback.
What Keven Ankunding doesn't like about Hansik:
One of the better korean restaurant this side of town. Everything here is very good. Foods are ordered via text. Orders delivered hot and without much fuss. Quick service and friendly staff. Their chicken platter is very good. Semi self service. They have a water station for customers. Definitely enjoyed our dining experience. Busy place especially during dinnertime. Will try abs be back to try the other dishes in th... View all feedback.
The customer service here needs improving. Didn't realise that this was a self service restaurant. There was no mention of it once we were seated. Plus we had left overs that needed to be taken away. We were only given the containers but no bag to go with it. The staff needs to know what is in each dish or at least some knowledge. If customers are asking you and your not sure then how are we supposed to Know? Just the little things that could be of improvement. The Bbq combo is way overpriced for what it is worth when there are no side dishes included and just enough meat for one hungry person! Plus when this dish came out it wasn't temperature hot, it was warm, so I was disappointed. Usually when you bring any dish out, it would be hot! Compared to other Korean restaurants I have dined at, this would have to top my list at being pricey.
We ordered a honey soy fried chicken, hot stone bulgogi beef bibimbap and tempura fried udon. The bibimbap was very good. Lots of veggies, meat and the egg was cooked very well. The hot sauce that came with it wasn't to my liking though, I prefer a sweeter hot sauce. The tempura fried udon was nice. However there was too mucu sauce that came with it wasn't very tasty. They were generous with the bonito which was good. The tempura was also quite generous and fried well. The fried chicken is very crispy but I feel the honey soy is too cloyingly sweet. I'd prefer a more savoury sauce, maybe we needed to try a different variant.
Great korean restaurant serving authentic and delicious food. * beef bimbimbap in hot stone pot - soooo good and satisfying! Generous amount of beef and vegetables. * Kim chi and pork soup - rich Kim chi broth and perfect amount of spice. Would have loved if the soup came out steaming hot. Defintely coming back to try the other dishes!
This place sits close to the top of the list if you're looking for a good Korean place to dine in. Some standout dishes: ???? Sweet & Spicy Fried Chicken - Tender chicken with a crunch and finger-licking sauce. ???? Garlic Fried Rice- I rarely rave about fried rice, but this simple dish surprisingly tastes really good. Has a butter garlic fragrance shining through the rice; real delicious! ???? Seafood pancake - Has a crispy crunch on the edges ???? Spicy Seafood soup- Spicy and tasty soup; a great winter warmer food ???? Green Tea Snowflakes with Red Bean- shaved ice is so fine & light! Also love how some condensed milk is served on the side, so then you can mix them in at your own preference as you dig in deeper into the ice. Sizzling Bulgogi Beef is cooked well and tastes great; it's just not a wow. Same thing with the Fish Shaped Bun. Only let down was the BBQ Combo. Some meat pieces were overcooked and burnt on one side, while some were really burnt/charred on both sides. Couldn't really enjoy the flavours of the meat as the burnt taste was just too overpowering. For a set that cost $49.90, without any side dishes or rice, this set was quite disappointing. Nonetheless, service is good and food is generally great. Will be back.
