Beautiful western atmosphere. Every employee we treated was friendly and personal. Food was good, but turkey was a little dry, which is not surprising. They were one of the only restaurants that were open on Thanksgiving day and we tipped accordingly. Special dinner was good and at a good price to fill. View all feedback.
What Lowell Bayer doesn't like about Dodge City Steakhouse Wilkesboro:
My wife and I ordered the chopped steak meal. We specified medium with a pink center. Well, they came out very well done, meaning they were dry with a hard crusty outside. We waited almost an hour for our meals, after arriving at 1:30. The customers were clearing out by then. I know help is hard to get, but at least prepare the meal as ordered. I am not blaming the wait staff. View all feedback.
My family and I went to eat lunch Sunday after church. Service went a little long but that?s never a problem as we have a wonderful church. When we got there it was very busy and we were very hungry. We were sat pretty quickly surprisingly. Right after we were sat at the table our waitress Lori quickly came to get our drink order and asked if we needed a seat for our toddler. He had told the hostess no but once we got to the table he changed his mind and wanted a high chair. That was no problem for Lori and she quickly grabbed him a chair. My husband drinks a lot of sweet tea and she always kept our drinks filled and always made sure to treat us like we were her only guests. The food was amazing but the service was even better. She was such a sweetheart and that?s how service should be.
Being completely honest here. the fries were a tad soggy and overloaded with salt. the chicken filly had NO seasoning added salt and pepper, but it couldn't be fixed the onions were severely undercooked. my grandma and her sisters couldn't read the menu since the letters were the size of an atom. out of ranch as well. they all ordered the kids hamburger steak. if you don't want it burned you'll have to specify, otherwise it'll have the texture of a brick. honestly, kotos and cagneys both have better service, food and atmosphere.

Had the tip with peppers and onions and mushrooms. It was good cooked right at a med rare which is perfect. No seasoning on the steak so used A1. I had Green beans for a side they were good just needed salt. The salad was good lol got the house dressing that was good. Sat in the bar area was a bit distracted by servers eating at end of bar, which is fine but one of them was talking, chewing with moth open : .
My family had a fantastic dinner at this restaurant. The waiter named John provided excellent service, being attentive and appearing to be the manager. He made eye contact and knew the perfect times to approach our table. It was refreshing to see someone take pride in their work and make sure all our needs were met. We will definitely be returning for the delicious food and top-notch service.
