What wigbhoy dislikes about Basmati:
like a few other reviews usually can't fault it but not good at all tonight. one member of staff just seemed if could not be bothered. when tried to ask for a fork ignored me but seen me. no How's your meal? said goodnight and ignored. maybe he was having a bad day? food was surprisingly average usually spot on...meat not the same. just not as good at all compared to previous visits as others same to say View all feedback.
We reserved the upstairs room for a hen party and it was a fantastic experience! The staff were very attentive, despite there being 16 of us and many changes to our orders. They remained calm and cool throughout. All our food came out together, hot and delicious. The staff efficiently sorted out individual prices and were unbelievably calm. They definitely deserved the tip! I would highly recommend this place.
The food was delicious and served promptly, but unfortunately, the service was lacking and quite rude. It felt like our presence was a burden, even when ordering. I do not plan on coming back, as there are better Indian restaurants in Wigan.
I have been dining at Basmati for a few years and I have never been disappointed. The staff is fantastic and polite, and the service is top-notch. The food is of the highest quality in Wigan. I highly recommend this restaurant to anyone in search of a great curry night.

Despite its claim of serving Indian cuisine, my recent experience at Basmati restaurant left much to be desired. The food lacked the authentic Indian taste I was hoping for, and I left without finishing my meal. For fellow Indian food lovers, I’d recommend exploring other options to avoid disappointment and wasting money on a subpar dining experience.
