Basmati - Wigan

We reserved the upstairs room for a hen party and it was a fantastic experience! The staff were very attentive, despite there being 16 of us and many changes to our orders. They remained calm and cool throughout. All our food came out together, hot and delicious. The staff efficiently sorted out individual prices and were unbelievably calm. They definitely deserved the tip! I would highly recommend this place.

The food was delicious and served promptly, but unfortunately, the service was lacking and quite rude. It felt like our presence was a burden, even when ordering. I do not plan on coming back, as there are better Indian restaurants in Wigan.

I have been dining at Basmati for a few years and I have never been disappointed. The staff is fantastic and polite, and the service is top-notch. The food is of the highest quality in Wigan. I highly recommend this restaurant to anyone in search of a great curry night.

Excellent good and service. First time here for a few years as we don’t live in the area but will definitely return. Lovely Saturday evening out.

Usually can't fault this place. Attended with 3 friends early evening. Whilst trying to order the food, waiter put his hand up in my face and rudely grunted that he wasn't ready. ignored that, we all have bad days. Waiter who brought the food out just threw it down onto the table, we had to pass dishes around to where they needed to be. Food tasted great, however the chicken was so finely sliced and was nearly non existent. I understand the pressure to make money these days but this was criminal. Nevertheless still gave a decent tip, as decent people. No thanks, just more horrendous looks and out we go, never to return
