Feedback
We visited Fischer Brau during a recent trip to Vienna. We lived in the area a number of years ago and try to visit every time we are back in the city. The food, service and atmosphere all remain first rate. The restaurant tends to attract more locals than tourists (and I suppose we could now be categorized as tourists) but we were treated wonderfully. Our waiter was friendly, attentive and had a good sense of humor. The food was second to none and we dined on an assortment of delicious local dishes. The beer is even better. We had a fabulous evening there and look forward to visiting again soon. The garden tends to fill up during summer so reservations would be a good idea if you want to sit outside.
Only visited this place off the back of the TripAdvisor reviews and as it was down the road from our hotel thought it would be worth trying - lots of full tables outside but as I'm pregnant and trying to avoid the smokers we sat inside which was a lot more quiet. The waitress was efficient and very busy and, thinking we should really choose local, we ordered the Austrian starters for one which was MASSIVE and very tasty (even though we still aren't sure what some of it was) and I had the pork schnitzel and my boyfriend had the mixed basket. Both were ok - I think it was more our bad choices as it was all fried and beige, but tasty nonetheless. Next time I'd have something with salad and sit outside though!
