The staff seem incredibly overworked as it was incredibly hard to get someone's attention, but it wasn't like they were standing about behind the counter...
This place is a little hidden gem. We were seated immediately. The service was quick and the menu is extensive with a good variety of food and drink items....
A cool kickback in the middle of the city full of locals (I think? chatting away. Coffee was v good and v strong. Loved the ambiance.
After we visited this caffe yesterday and have a wonderful experience on a guided tour and how to treat a license and have a great breakfast, we chose our last breakfast. what is that? it was not very busy u-side...and out and after about 5 min the waiter (the day was great) caught my eye. 10 minutes later (so now 15 minutes waiting) he has not yet come to our table to take our order, so I went in and asked- he was quite snotty and said in a minute, but after another 3 minutes we went away and went to another traditional place (cafe diglas) where we met and looked for within seconds. it is quite clear that, while the caffe basket is great for the locals that give clear no s-t over tourist, as I have now seen many other negative reviews about their service. unless they have hours to waste and super geduld, I would not come here
Really slow service and rude staff, it took 30min to get coffee and tea, then I received my slice of cake after another 20min and it took another 15min to get ham and cheese toast. I mean i 'm really surprise that people are writing that...the food is good, it was really *bad*, overly expensive for what it was. I also think that Starbucks could get inspiration from this place. 5euros for a tiny cappuccino, size of an espresso. I wanted to pay by card, but for the waiter I didn 't exist as I wasn 't in his service area . Tourist trap, pass your way, ignore good reviews and save like 2 hours of your life
