Stroud's Restaurant & Bar - Wichita

Great place for good ol cooked at home American cuisine. Great waiting staff.

The portions are generous, the food is delicious, and the sides are served in family style and refilled if necessary. Did I mention the cinnamon rolls? They are cinnamon sugar encrusted rolls and they are incredible (and included together with the pages! Probably the most juicy chicken fried chicken I've ever tasted, and the chicken fried steak was perfect. They say they want to shift the taste of 'dinner to grandmother's house' and they nailed it in the right way.

Great food and service! It is really homestyle kitchen and probably the best chicken roasted steak in the city! I went for the first time, and I don't regret it earlier. The server was hospitable, and the potatoes, the chicken noodle soup and the chicken roast steak brought back memories of haunted meals during my childhood. In any case it is worth trying!

Very busy. Recommend a reservation if you plan to stop here. Eating is good. Chicken dishes are their strength.

This used to be a childhood favorite for chicken dinners. It's still among my favorites in Wichita, but maybe not the best I've had. That said, for chicken and sides with that home cooked feel you can't go wrong with Stroud's. I suggest the mashed potatoes and their amazing gravy!
