Rene's Mexican Food - Wichita

Love the Colorado burrito, but I have to wonder if they are over saturating the market on the west side, and actually competing with themselves by opening multiple locations so close together. I especially enjoy how they wrap half the paper up inside your burrito every time. I don't look at it like incompetence, it's more like a trademark with them.

Very good food. I got the grilled chicken burrito, I was really great. I will returning soon.

This is a wonderful place if you're looking for a late night meal. After the pandemic, it was difficult to find places in town open late for an after work snack/meal. Service is fast. Prices are fair. Food is delicious.

I was quite underwhelmed by the food at this establishment. The safest option is a burrito smothered in cheese, stay away from the rolled tacos due to the dryness and lack of filling. I spotted an empty beer bottle and a pack or nicotine mints outside the place, if that doesn?t say anything i don?t know what will.

Points for being open late. The super nachos was pretty good . I would recommend ordering that. The care Asada tacos were terrible, the meat was weirdly textured and the corn tortilla were rubbery, thick and blah. The beans and rice was ok. Wouldn?t put Rene?s in my regular rotation, but I would if I needed late night eats.
