What Johnson Hoeger doesn't like about Cocos Kitchen:
the food presentation was nice, but the prices seemed a bit high for what you got in the city. the service had a selfish waiter who shamed me that I didn't want to get my Spanish quite right when I tried to branch myself and not order in English. rude. View all feedback.
We were delighted to stumble upon this gem early in our vacation, making it our go-to spot for brunch. The menu offers a diverse selection of delicious dishes such as green chilaquiles with ice cream, eggs Benedict with salmon, avocado toast with fried eggs and arugula salad, almond-crusted French toast, and an assortment of fresh fruits and mimosas. The prices are reasonable and the option to dine on the veranda, in the open air, or in the garden while enjoying the refreshing morning sea breeze was a wonderful bonus. Diego's friendly service was exceptional! Highly recommend this place!
While walking along the beach, my partner and I decided to have brunch at a nearby restaurant. I was in the mood for a sandwich, so I ordered the club sandwich while my partner opted for the verde carnitas burrito. Both dishes were fresh and delicious. As we enjoyed our meal, we noticed a chalkboard advertising a dinner show later that evening. Intrigued, we made a reservation and returned for the set dinner menu and show featuring Kim Kuzma, who was very entertaining. The menu included carnitas sopes, creamy red pepper and corn soup, grilled mahi mahi or steak, and guava cheesecake. Just thinking about it now is making my mouth water. Honestly, all the dishes were amazing, but the mahi mahi was my favorite - the best seafood I've had in my two months in PV. Our server, Diego, was incredibly hardworking and served us for both meals. I highly recommend this restaurant.
After enjoying 5-star breakfasts and lunches at Coco's Kitchen for years, we recently visited their evening dining option, The Grill at CK. It features a different menu and staff from the daytime operation. The food was generously portioned and overall quite good, though the french fries were hard and cold. The outdoor courtyard was lovely, comfortable, and clean. The cocktails were decent, but the wine list was slightly pricier than other popular restaurants. The service was a bit of a mixed bag with too many interruptions at the table and some oversights. We had to ask twice for the wine we ordered, which took twenty minutes to arrive. One major issue was that most servers were wearing their facemasks improperly, with their noses exposed or even their mouths uncovered. This made us uncomfortable, and we would put on our masks whenever they approached. Despite the good food, we won't be returning to The Grill at CK until they implement stronger safety measures.
