We hadn't been to Red Lobster since 1998. It's been a few years. When we entered, the hostess seated us immediately. We were waited on by Tyler. He is a fantastic waiter. Very attentive and pleasant. We took awhile trying to decide what we wanted and Tyler was patient. We ordered the lobster/artichoke dip to start. I ordered the Harborside lobster and shrimp dinner. It did not disappoint. What Michael K doesn't like about Red Lobster:
The worst $25 meal I have ever had. I ordered the Mariner's Feast to take advantage of being able to sample multiple items. What was terrible was the totally flavorless salmon. How can salmon be bland? I have eaten salmon hundreds of times in restaurants and it never disappoints on flavor and only fails when it is overcooked. Not bad. Decent food, well prepared. Not as fresh as I'd like and definitely inferior to the Bristol Seafood Grill in downtown KC.
The food was all right but the waiter was annoying she kept on coming over to our table every two or three seconds and she was eyeballing my husband that was disrespectful and that was my birthday so you need to train them more not to flirt with customers or their husbands.
Very good experience! Very prompt! I had my food in under five minutes or shortly thereafter. It was very fast. The biscuits were hot. The salad was as good as ever. The fried bay scallops were very good and hot and the broccoli was dark green and cooked just right. Restraunt is clean. My waitress was polite, courteous and very promt! We don't get to go Red Lobster often but when we do it's aways a pleasure to eat there.
