Newport Grill - Wichita East

My wife took me here for Father's Day. We had the swordfish and ribeye dishes. Both dishes were awesome! The ribeye was probably the best I have ever had.

It was Father’s Day 2022 and our reservation was for 7:30. We just moved to the area and were looking for a good place to visit often and become “regulars”. The hostesses were friendly and engaging. Our server, Brittany, was amazing and her recommendations were excellent. She recommended the shrimp cigares and calamari. Isaac brought the cocktails and he seemed friendly. Great service. Food was good. But for the price, the portions were tiny. My entree was about 4 Oz of food. That was with vegetables and all.

The service was excellent, the portions reasonable. However the maitre d and hostess are in need of customer service training. My friend suffers from severe shellfish allergies. We asked to moved away from the kitchen and she told us that the area was reserved. Upon sitting, my friend began to smell shrimp. She went back to the maitre d and the hostess and asked to please sit us outside. They were annoyed by her request, but finally sat us outside.

I attended a lunch party at Newport Grill on a Saturday afternoon and had top notch service! Our servers Gavin and Preston went above and beyond to cater to our every need. These guys were amazing! The meals and dessert were very yummy and flavorful. There wasn’t one complaint among the 14 ladies of our party. Thanks, guys! You made our get together a wonderful experience!
