The Nixon Steakhouse - Whittier

The dining experience was fantastic. My only issue was that if they are charging $75 for a steak, perhaps including bread for free would be a nice touch. Additionally, when spending over $400 for a meal for two, it would be nice to see white tablecloths and the chef not wearing basketball shorts. However, the staff was incredibly attentive and professional. I felt a bit guilty when they had to inform me that there was an extra charge for bread. The pork belly and mussels were outstanding, and the ribeye was cooked to perfection.

Had lunch there for my brother's wedding reception. Everything we ate there was amazing! The filet mignon, the salmon, the sides all excellent.

My wife and I have been coming to this restaurant for 38 years. Claudia, our hostess, greeted us warmly and found us a cozy corner to enjoy our evening. Our servers, David and Celene, were excellent! They were very efficient and attentive throughout our meal. The rest of the staff was also very attentive, checking on us to make sure we were enjoying our evening. The food was fantastic! We highly recommend this restaurant and will definitely be back. At the end of the evening, they surprised us with a free dessert to celebrate our anniversary.

Our experience with the waitstaff was wonderful and the food was absolutely delicious. The steak I ordered was cooked perfectly and all of the sides were equally delicious. While the prices were on the higher end, the quality of the meal definitely justified it.

I want to love this place, I love the opposite and uptown needs a place like this, but I just don't get it. I went twice, both male the bill is over $400, but it doesn't taste like a $400 meal. the quality of the meat is questionable and both the steaks are not cooked as ordered. the sides are extremely oily, drinks are ok. I want to be so bad behind this place, but I just can't.
