Description

Sub-Sational offers a diverse menu with quick service, making it a popular stop for locals and visitors alike. The shaded outdoor seating provides a pleasant dining atmosphere, especially in summer. However, recent experiences highlight inconsistencies: salads have shrunk in size despite higher prices, and some orders lacked key ingredients. Customer service is friendly but sometimes lacks proactive engagement. Operational challenges include unreliable posted hours and limited access, as only the drive-thru remains open due to staffing shortages. Safety concerns for young employees parking nearby have also been noted, suggesting room for management to improve both hours and workplace conditions.

The food is usually great. But I wouldn't really know anymore. They have their hours posted showing they are open until 7:00. But good luck catching them there. And they wouldn't answer a phone if their life depended on it. So who knows how the food tastes anymore. If they don't plan on staying until their posted closing time, they need to change their hours.

We were out of town and asked at the museum for a good place to get lunch. Sub-Sational was the place to go! Food was fast and delish. Many choices and helpful friendly young women behind the counter. Nice shaded deck with fans outside. Perfect for a summer day! Thank you!

? Sub-SationalWhiteville, NC? Are the salads half the size they used to be for almost double the price?? Yep!But the main problem is ...They have set business hours but almost every time I call to place an order, no one answers the phone. The last time I drove up to the window, I sat there for ~5 minutes. There were cars in the parking lot I could see staff. Then a lady came to the window said Sorry. We just closed at 5:00 today. (Google their sign says 7:00. Again today, I called 3 times between 4:20-4:40 with no answer. (Double checked. Google says 7:00 today. The LEAST that they could do, if they 're not going to actually hold their business hours , is get an outgoing message to let people know they 've left for the day. ?
