I recently visited the KFC on Broad Street in Whitehall, but they had run out of chicken and pot pies. They recommended I go to the KFC on Main Street in Columbus, Ohio. After spending $37 there, I was disappointed to find that the chicken was cold and the service was rude. When I asked if there was any chicken available, considering my earlier experience, it seemed to irritate the staff. The pot pies were hot, but they were rather sparse on chicken. I think I’ll be sticking to Popeyes from now on.
I ordered a 3-piece meal at 8 PM, and the chicken tasted like it had been left out for hours. I tried calling the restaurant, but no one answered, so I contacted corporate instead. After waiting two weeks, I finally received a call saying they would replace my order. When I returned to the same location to pick it up, I was bombarded with tough questions about what had gone wrong. Two staff members even came out from the kitchen to stand next to me while I explained that the chicken tasted stale. When my new order was finally brought to the counter, they insisted I check everything to ensure it was satisfactory, but their tone was anything but friendly. I will never go back to KFC again.
I'm not sure what has happened to the fantastic staff that used to work here, but the new team is rude, unhelpful, and seemingly uninformed. To start, they refused to take drive-thru orders, insisting that all customers must come inside to place their orders. Once I went in, I waited a long time for someone to assist me at the register. When I finally placed my order, the employee entered my side items without asking for my preferences, and I had to remind her about them. Throughout the interaction, she displayed a noticeable attitude. I requested my food to be extra crispy, but when I checked my order before leaving, it was the regular version. When I pointed this out, she argued with me, insisting that I had ordered the original, which I never do. To top it off, I didn't even receive my receipt. Despite there being very few customers, the service was slow, and the staff's attitudes were unacceptable. I've decided to switch to the location on E Broad St instead, as they are much quicker and friendlier.
Be sure to place all your orders at the ordering menu. I visited this evening at 8:09 PM, and there was no one in line or in the lobby. Unfortunately, I had to drive back around to include something I had forgotten, but they wouldn't allow me to add just one extra item at the window. The customer service here is disappointing and comes across as unprofessional. I won't be coming back.
I frequently have issues with my takeout orders from this restaurant. I ordered a 5-piece tender, but they only sent me 3. They also forgot to include the biscuits. I tried calling for help, but no one picked up.
