We were very excited to visit this pub, we are sometimes skeptical to try new places, but reviews seemed pretty good and we loved the view of the menu, so we thought we would give it a bit. we were shown on our table. that was in the winter garden, this part of the pub I didn't think was as beautiful as some of the seating areas within the pub/bar area. the winter garden was tired and a bit dirty, as well as the toilets. the service was slow and sometimes we felt forgotten. we shared a large bottle of water that was supplied with two glasses, no ice or lemon. we ordered starter and net, after 30 minutes or so, our net were brought to the table, our starters were completely missed. I did not ask this at the time, because I wanted to go as soon as possible and did not want to send back the meals so that they only sit there, which was overpriced for mediocre food. we will not return, very disappointing.
Over night with friends. the rooms at the top of the guest house have recently been renovated, all very clean and bright. comfortable beds, tea and coffee accessories and quiet night. enjoy lunch, dinner and breakfast delicious food. the young employees are wonderfully welcoming, care and.
Beautiful pub and great accommodation. this is a picturesque, well-placed country pub, just a few minutes walk from the bombay saphirdistillerie. the accommodation was superior, generous in size and immaculate clean. we were not for dinner (left too late and we are fully booked), but. the helpful staff offered some local recommendations that worked well. the breakfast was delicious, hot and excellent. this is without doubt a top selection of places to stay if they wanted to visit the bombay saphirdistillerie....walk or get a bus there, the water ship downstairs is an ideal place to stay.
I don’t normally leave reviews but felt this time was necessary due to the kindness of the staff. We had walked to the pub from our accommodation looking for something to eat. When we arrived a wedding party was in full swing and we were told that they were taking no more bookings! When we explained our situation. We had travelled a long way and had not eaten since breakfast and were starving! They kindly agreed to make us a burger and chips. Absolute lifesavers : The food itself was delicious and plentiful and the staff could not have been more attentive despite having a large wedding party as well as their regular customers. I would definitely recommend this pub and would return again if in the area. Thank you to all the staff who were working that night and saved us from going hungry : Service: 5
A disappointing lunch. They were clearly too busy with not enough staff. Service was incredibly slow and food was pretty average to be honest. The crab risotto didn't really taste of much and the seafood platter I shared was heavily breadcrumbed and quite dry. My son's burger was yummy however. Not impressed as expensive. Not rushing back.
