Great old pub, cash only, pork pie and cheese and ham roll with pickle. Tasted great, lovely beers on offer and friendly landlady. Hope to visit again when up North. View all feedback.
Just the best little pub in North Yorkshire, Fantastic friendly owners, the best Corn beef stoties and pork pies, a cracking pint of black sheep and other ales all in a beautiful location. Can't wait to be back at New year.
This is a fantastic pub and well worth a visit. As others have said, it is very quaint inside and full of character. We have visited in summer and winter. In summer you can relax outside and feed the variety of birds that land right next to you and in winter you can sit in front of the lovely fire. The beers are excellent and also the range of snacks. We highly recommend parking at Grosmont, taking the lovely walk to here and having a beer then continuing up to Goathland and catching the steam train back to Grosmont.
This is a very old, very picturesque pub in a beautiful village. the renter was very pleasant and hospitable. we had gone from grosmont to beck get and could drink and sit down before the return was well received! at the pub is a sweet shop with many old favorites!
Great public house. Would happily visit again.Great licensee who made time for a informative talk. If you are walking between Grosmont and Goathland it's a must visit.
