Tangerine Asian Cuisine - Whitby

Very delicious and fast service. Nice and friendly staff. Also, pretty spacious and comfortable seating.Update:Went back after moving to Hamilton, by far the best Chinese restaurant that serves halal food that I've tried. The food, as always, was delicious. The service was pretty good, too. My dad usually gets the tangerine special tiger prawns, and they are absolutely delicious. They're not too spicy, and the prawns are cooked perfectly. My brother and I got General Tso and Chicken Hakka Noodles, and both are excellent. The noodles are on the spicy side, but they are still very good.The seating is still the same, very comfortable. Prices are good considering that I've been able to eat it for 3 days now.Overall, it's my favorite Chinese restaurant, and I definitely recommend you try it.

I don’t get it. It must be some kind of communication barrier or something but any Tangerine location I go to, I feel like we are not welcome. The servers always come off as borderline rude. That impacts the atmosphere overall. The quality of food is consistent. I like almost all of their dishes. The shrimp dish, forget what it’s called but it’s the non spicy one, that’s good. The Manchurian beef is ok, not my favorite. The Hakka noodles was a little oily. The chicken pakoras are a good starter. I liked the one chicken dish, maybe the Bombay one.

The restaurant is overcharging for simple requests such as sauce on the side. The service is impersonal and does not cater to simple requests is ice water w/lemon. The food is oily but tasty.

Few years back this one my favorite restaurant in Durham and now they are going downhill as per quality.What happened to that famous Bombay chicken?

I'm a fan of Bombay chicken, and this place was the best,to me. They even have Bombay fried rice! It's too bad they don't sell smaller portions like a lunch or dinner special but the portions are large.
