Tangerine Asian Cuisine - Whitby

I absolutely love the food here. We have ordered takeout for the past 7 years from this location. The food is really good BUT accuracy and timing is something that is not. So out of 10 orders 9 of them will be wrong. They are often missing something or I would order for example a vegetarian item Veg Chow Mein shows clearly on my receipt get it home and it is full of shrimp and chicken. So each time I call and ask them for the missing or wrong item means a drive back to the shop and round trip it is 35/40 minutes and now my food is cold and I have people waiting to eat. Last night I got the wrong item (two dishes of the same thing) they asked me to bring them back and they would give me the correct ones no problem. I was also disappointed when I try to order ahead (as in call at 430 and pickup for 530) they actually print the order after I get there so at 528 they printed the order (the receipt is time stamped) and that is when they start my order so I wait 20 minutes in the store for my order. My children decided for last mother's day to place an order. They ordered 3 days ahead knowing there would be a rush. They called and confirmed the order the day before and the day of. When they got there they didn't have the order and my kids waited 1 1/2 hours for their order as they were told they were busy! With the wait times and the high rate of error with a totallack of offer for compensation in any way for the inconvenience of me driving multiple times back and forth to pickup my whole order I don't think we will go back. YES I have stood in the store and unpacked my order and checked it myself but really do I always have to do this. I am a disappointed customer.

I ordered takeout for my birthday. The food was hot and fresh, and it was ready at the exact time I had requested. The staff was kind and friendly.

Tangerine Asian Cuisine is our favorite restaurant, mainly for dinner and sometimes for lunch. Tonight, my husband, Grant, and I were very happy with the excellent customer service provided by the lovely KIMBERLY (Kim), who is too shy to have her photo taken. Nonetheless, we enjoyed our delicious meal consisting of crab and corn soup, curried fish, and gailan (a crunchy green vegetable). The man (whose name we didn't catch) who served our last dish of curried fish kindly took a picture of us with the food. We also took home some vegetable pakoras for the kids. Today they had a special offer: If you spend over $30 on food (before tax), you get some free items to take home. We chose 2 fried chicken legs for tomorrow's lunch, woohoo! In conclusion, if you're looking for high-quality food when you're hungry, TANGERINE is the place to go.

My husband and I always have a wonderful dining experience at Tangerine. I am a big fan of their fish dishes, and today I tried their Fish in Black Bean Sauce, which was delicious paired with steamed rice. The crabmeat soup was also flavorful, and my husband loved the fish pakoras. We were especially impressed by the friendly female staff member who greeted us warmly and showed recognition that we are regular customers. It was a nice touch that made us feel valued. Thank you and we look forward to our next visit!

We go here regularly and love the food. The chili chicken is especially good. We also had the curry chicken spring roll and it was quite good. The Cantonese Chow Mein was also good, although this time the noodles were slightly chewy. Other than that, the food was great. Generous portions and tasty food.
