This was my third visit to Signature Indian Cuisine and can confirm that the quality of the food and service is consistently wonderful. In prior visits I had butter chicken and lababdar chicken with either rice pilau or kashmiri rice and garlic and regular naan. We tried the chicken pakora once too. All were super delicious. This time I had chicken tikka masala and peas pilau. Both were as delicious as the rest. I al... View all feedback.
What foodtastyman doesn't like about Signature Indian Cuisine:
I don't know if i ordered the wrong meal? But, i had to FORCE myself to finish eating this Butter Chicken i ordered from this establishment. Not only that, but the meal ended up being $16dollars! What tastes exactly like TV dinner. The chicken wasn't even that fresh. NEVER AGAIN. I was desperate for some Indian food, so thought i would give this a try. I wish i can get my money back. We been here 3 times so far and WOW is all we need to say. Nicest people you ever want to meet. Manners and respect, the way businesses should be.

I have been eating Indian food for over 50 years. We shared pilau rice, aloo bagan potato with eggplant) onion bahji, naan. My wife had chicken korma as her main and I had lamb madras. Negatives: Naan, no taste, unleven, cooked in a not hot enough tandoor Onion Bhaji , total rubbish couldn’t taste any onion or anything else, it was all batter. Positives: Aloo bagan, very tasty succinct spices and herbs but My wife found a little spicy. Chicken korma, not a korma at all. A creamy sauce but no coconut in it which is the base of the sauce. It is meant to be neutral but My wife found it too spicy. I tasted it and it was a little spicy Lamb Madras. Spicy but not spicy nor was it a Madras, however the taste was good. And plenty of lamb and it was lamb. You get plenty of food but at $80 I would expect that at the very least. The price would put me off in future even though mine was quite palatable. Their dish descriptors on the menu suggest nearly everything comes from one base sauce, perhaps, hence the spicy korma!! If you don’t know anything else it may be OK but a knowledgeable palate would not be happy.
I believe this restaurant is now called Signature Vegan. I ordered several times to-go while in Whitby on business. Everything is absolutely delicious! Fresh, flavourful ingredients. So many wonderful options including several kinds of rice, the best onion bhaji I have ever had, amazing dal palak and aloo baigan!! I highly recommend!!
We just tried here for the first time tonight and ordered the exact same items we order at most Indian cuisine! We ordered the following: Samosa’s, Mattar Aloo, Pulao Rice and garlic roti. All were made vegan for us! The lady on the phone was SO incredibly kind and patient with my questions as well as confirmed twice that everything would be vegan. Everything was FAR better than any other place we’ve tried. It will become our regular joint! The samosa’s are the best I’ve ever had and the portions are BIG! I don’t normally write reviews but I felt the world needed to hear my praise! Vegans you will NOT be disappointed!!!
