We stopped in for a quick bite in Whitby's entertainment complex. Very cool location and decorating style. The service was friendly and competent. Beer was cold! We ordered an artichoke dip and chicken bites as appetisers. Both were good. The people we were with enjoyed there food as well. View all feedback.
What User doesn't like about Shoeless Joe's:
Started off great with yummy appetizers. The calamari is tender and not rubbery and one of the dipping sauces is a delicious garlic aioli. There was deep fried sushi. I was dubious and I know it was not at all healthy, but it tasted so good. My entree was disappointing though. A Chicken Asiago Parmesan was dry and bland but the pasta was good. The Shepherd's Pie was okay but not not something to order again. The Pilg... View all feedback.
This was our 2nd choice for a quick meal before a movie. At our 1st choice, we were told it would be 30 minute wait, despite half the tables being unoccupied. So, it was lovely when we walked into Shoeless Joe's and were greeted with a smile and shown to a booth. They have a good selection of beer on tap and we were given drinks right away and frequently asked if we wanted a second one. We waited much too long for our food. My husband had French Onion Soup and an order of Calamari. He said both were "just okay..... 6/10". I had the Lemon Chicken and Quinoa Bowl. It looked great with many different vegetables and lots of colour. Unfortunately, it had no taste at all. The chicken was dry and stringy. There was no evidence of any lemon flavouring, just a small wedge of lemon for me to squeeze. I salted and salted the food, just to have something to taste. We will probably only go back if we want a quick beer but will not return for the food.

Since they have renovated the food, drinks and service have improved 100%. The staff here are great.
I really like the new renovation at this restaurant. The variety of seating options is fantastic. The menu is clear and easy to navigate. I ordered the Thai quesadilla and thought it was a bit too saucy for my liking. The buffalo quesadilla had a nice spicy flavor to it.
Isn't it a little unprofessional when the bartender (who is our waitress) spends more time flirting with the men at the bar than providing good customer service..The food just plain sucked. I got the easiest meal- chicken tenders and salad. How can a restaurant screw it up? This one did. The chicken tenders were so overdone I could hardly cut through them with a fork and knife. There was hardly any sauce on them! They're advertised as saucy! My salad was drowning in dressing. Some of the lettuce was wilted. My dipping sauce had no taste. It was pretty evident our waitress felt like the patrons not seated at the bar were inconveniencing her. She gave off an unfriendly vibe which made our party very uncomfortable. The hostess was very nice and the decor is modern. Too bad I will NEVER be back to this location. Poor customer service. Poor food. A real waste of money.
