Halibut King Fish&chips - Whitby

I understand that with inflation, everywhere you go prices have gone up, but Id rather pay extra for the same quality and portion as it used to. This place used to have one of the best fish chowder, we always order it from Uber. Today we found that the quality has gone down drastically. It used to have a ton of shredded fish and really good flavor. No exaggeration but every scoop of spoon had a lot of fish, it was so good. Now it has barely any fish and mostly just flavored cream soup. On top of that the portion has gone down too. I am never ordering this from their menu. There are other fish and chips place in the area but we chose this store for their fish chowder. But now that we are not ordering that anymore we might as well order from some place else.

It's the best fish and chips anywhere.The portions are ample and the chips fresh cut and the best.Fish is so tasty and a good size.

I went here with my boyfriend for the first time. Ordered 1 piece fish and chips. Thank goodness I ordered 1 piece because it's huge. The fish was delicious. The batter was not oily or greasy at all. The tartar sauce was a small size but it was delicious. They need to provide a bigger serving for the tartar sauce for the huge piece of fish ?. The tartar sauce was so delicious. It went perfect with the fish. The fries was overloaded on my plate so I tried to eat the fish more than fries. Will definitely be coming back here again. The restaurant was very busy from dine in and alot of take out orders. Best fish and chips place. Must try.

Ordered halibut and i was greatly disappointed, fish portion is literally low and the content of flour is too much, fries look like they have been warmed and served its best to eat in Harbord fish and chips if any one looking for fish and chips. Greatly disappointed not worth for money.
