This place has been closed for what feels like forever and when you ask me where my #1 spot is in Whistler I’m still saying Bar Oso. The atmosphere in there is the best wherever you sit it’s beautifully designed. Small intimate, candlelit. Amazing for a date or just a good catch up with friends. What Reviews B doesn't like about Bar Oso:
We tried to make a reservation, and they said they only take reservations after 5 pm. We went back at 5:10 pm, and they said they were booked until 8 pm, so we booked for 8 pm, and they made us wait until 9 pm. Also, the food is overpriced for what you get. View all feedback.

Love sitting at the bar to watch all the action. The Oso Sour with candied bacon is what dreams are made of. Absolutely best cheese charcuterie! Truly authentic Spanish tapas bacalao, sobrasada, jamon iberico shaved off the bone perfectly, etc. I really appreciate the attention to detail and pride in their craft. Miss this place so much and can’t wait to come by when they reopen.
A bit more costly than an average dinner out but some of the best tapas and cocktails you can ask for. Well worth the price, trust me! Service: Dine in Meal type: Dinner Price per person: $100+
I visited this restaurant alone one evening and enjoyed a variety of wines with a large cheese board. The atmosphere is great and it feels like a traditional Spanish tapas bar. I have been back many times since then! The wine selection is amazing and the small plates menu is fantastic. The food here is truly delicious and the concept perfectly fits my taste.
Although pricey, the small plates and cocktails at this restaurant are exceptionally delicious. The wagyu beef cheeks were incredibly flavorful and tender. The modern yet cozy atmosphere inside makes for a comfortable dining experience. The service is top-notch - professional, attentive, yet relaxed. We never felt pressured to finish our meal quickly. Easily one of the best restaurants in British Columbia.
