Ihlenfeld Dining Room - Wheeling

We just had the seafood buffet. Dinner was delicious. The service was upstairs. Very professional waiting staff. Wheeling doesn't know what we have in this resort.

We went to breakfast for the weekend. The location is elegant and the breakfast was good. Service was good and the understanding of the chaos my children made. The price was a bit steep, but the view was beautiful.

Food was better than expected! The prices were on the higher side, but it was worth it. Limited selection menu, but everything was well cooked/prepared. I will recommend

We were for the weekend. The resort itself is beautiful. We made reservations for the seafood buffet and I would never recommend it to everyone. The food was under par. From 4 in Group 3 had eaten food poisoning (1 person only salad and dessert, no seafood). I was so disappointed as the menu looked amazing for it and for $45 a person should have been much better than what it was. The next day we tried the breakfast buffet. It was much better, but 2/4 people could not eat as they were still seriously ill the night before. The breakfast buffet was nice as the food was much fresher. Total breakfast is a 4/5 and seafood buffet a 0/5

We have made a tradition here every December before Christmas to have our wedding anniversary dinner. Often we bring many family members and have many great memories. After skipping a year due to Covid, we came back for dinner on Dec. 11th. As always, we get the buffet and enjoy time with our family. Sadly, the food has gone downhill and the prices have skyrocketed. The vegetable melody clearly came from a can, and the other items were sub-par. A far cry from what this buffet use to be and the quality did not come close to the price. The wait staff was still on par and very friendly, so no issues there. However, I must say that this may have been our last dinner there. Sad to end a tradition due to the poor quality. The 2 stars is for the wait staff and ambiance.
