The entrance was filled with a welcoming aroma that contributed to the delightful atmosphere. Unfortunately, we did discover a hair in the sweet and sour sauce, but the staff was very helpful and adjusted our bill to compensate. While that was a bit of a letdown, it didn't spoil our evening since everything else was quite enjoyable. I don't believe this is usual for Golden Chef. And I should mention, their egg rolls... Your appetizers are a meal in themselves! The handmade egg rolls and shrimp rolls are absolutely delicious, and the BBQ beef sticks are fantastic as well. I'm quite mindful of prices when it comes to take-out, so I was delighted by the generous portions of the BBQ pork fried rice and chicken fried rice. I usually call ahead, and everything is typically ready when I arrive. It's not a fancy, high-end place, but that's not what I'm looking for.

This restaurant is a superb option for Chinese food. The portions are ample, and the prices are very fair. Esther, the owner, is exceptionally welcoming and makes sure to cater to your dietary needs. I highly recommend the baked egg rolls; they’re tasty and lower in calories than the fried ones. The food is consistently excellent, whether you choose to eat in or take out, and the location is convenient. Although the waitstaff could be a bit faster with tea service and refills, overall, it’s a wonderful place to enjoy a meal!
The service at the restaurant was quite good, and the food was enjoyable. I ordered the mushu pork, which was excellent and came neatly presented in the accompanying pancakes. I appreciated this, as many places tend to serve it with tortillas instead. The restaurant features family-style round tables equipped with lazy Susans, which I found appealing, although the plates were slightly oversized for the tables. As a result, you have to be careful when turning them to avoid knocking over the water glasses. Overall, it was a pleasant experience, and I would definitely come back. Others in my party ordered the orange chicken, which I thought tasted good, and the Mongolian beef, which could have had a bit more beef but was tender and flavorful. I also tried the canton soup, which I found to be excellent.
