it is hard to hit such a scenic view of the oglebay park with a well-designed cocktail in the hand. our party ordered several different cocktails and rejoiced about the uniqueness and complexity of each (I personally enjoyed the mountaineer and mango ingwer mojito). the small plates are really smaller portions than most American portions that fit my family. the scallops and crab cakes were fresh with interesting sauc... Garden Bistro is a hidden gem at Oglebay Park. Tucked in the back of a building near the amphitheater, it has lovely views of the gardens at the park. Access is via either many stairs or a steep slope or a long walk. But the restaurant can send a golf cart to the parking lot just call ahead and let them know. Delicious sangria and food! The Everything Bagel sandwich is delicious. Salmon sandwich and scallops were very good. Chocolate gelato drew raves!
Really enjoy this place. We go there about 3 times each month.

Food was very good, but serving portions were quite small. And, for the prices were quite high for the portion size (for instance, I added a crab cake to my salad for $6. The crab cake was about 3 inches across. . If you’re a bigger eater, I recommend the everything bagel sandwich or the burger. They seemed more substantial. Highly recommend that you sit outside and enjoy the view.
We enjoyed the beautiful park and the evening concert. The food was very good.
Lovely setting, delicious food. We ate on the patio. The food was fresh and presented nicely. Service was friendly and informative.
