My women's church group visited the Eckart House for tea, and it was a delightful experience. Our host was a charming man who shared fascinating stories about the house and the tea. The tea itself is absolutely delicious—it’s definitely worth the visit!
We absolutely adore this restaurant! Housed in a historic home listed on the National Register, it's a lovely spot to enjoy a Saturday afternoon tea with friends. The food is fantastic, and the gift shop offers a delightful array of items. If you're in the mood for some delicious homemade scones, cucumber sandwiches, chicken salad finger sandwiches, and excellent tea, be sure to pay a visit to Gretchen and Joe. This is an experience you won’t want to miss!
I have visited Eckhart House many times to enjoy their delightful teas, along with the amazing homemade sandwiches and desserts made by Gretchen. I especially love the holiday teas when Joe shares charming and informative historical stories about Wheeling and the house itself.
This is a highlight of Wheeling!! We will go back.
