What Thomas K dislikes about Poor Boy 2:
I picked up an order for someone, and they requested that I fill the drink. The order was supposed to be ready when I arrived, but I understand that due to COVID-19, staffing might be limited. To ensure that the food stays hot for delivery, it makes sense that they handed me the order without the drink. They did go back to get the drink for me, so the handoff worked out in the end. This was my first visit to this restaurant, and I had a wonderful experience. The cashier was very friendly, and the cook prepared our order for five people incredibly quickly. The food was delicious and quite hearty.
This is a fantastic local restaurant with delicious food! They offer a wide range of menu options at very reasonable prices. The staff is likely the friendliest you'll find in any local eatery, making every visit enjoyable. I've walked past this place for most of my life, but in the past year, it has definitely become one of our go-to spots for takeout.
Paid a visit here for the first time today, and I'm glad I decided to stop by. Called in an order for pick-up, and about 10 minutes later, I got my gyro sandwich and a Poor Boy sub. The gentleman behind the counter was welcoming and up-beat and promptly brought out my order. The dining area was neat, and the table and floors were clean. There is also outdoor seating available just off to the right of the sandwich shop. Took the food home and dug right in. The Poor Boy sub was simple and satisfying. From the 3 types of fresh deli meat to the shredded lettuce, chopped onions, and sliced tomatoes, it had an excellent, well-balanced bread-to-filling ratio. The gyro was loaded with succulent, juicy meat and garnished with fresh fragrant onions and tomato and lathered in savory cucumber sauce. Both of those sandwiches were delicious and filling. I'm looking forward to my next visit. Thanks for the good food and good service. Cheers!

"Monthly specials? $4.99 for a gyro? I remember it being around $2.99 before everything went up in price. The food is always fresh and of high quality. However, I took away one star because they don’t serve one of my favorite chicken dishes regularly. When it's available, definitely try the homemade chicken noodle soup—it's fantastic!"
I pass by this place every day, so I decided to give it a try. Unfortunately, the interior felt outdated, with grimy floors and dirty tables. They don’t offer takeout orders, which was a bit disappointing. I ordered the ribeye steak sandwich, and when I unwrapped it, I was greeted by a burnt smell. The ribeye was well-cooked and thickly cut, topped with grilled onions, chopped salad, and mayo. However, it lacked flavor, so I ended up adding salt and hot sauce to spice it up. Overall, it wasn't the best meal I've had, but it wasn't the worst either. The hot dog I tried was nothing special, and I wouldn’t recommend it. I might give their cold subs a shot next time and see if my opinion changes. There were quite a few people picking up orders, and the guy at the register was really nice. It seemed like many regular customers know him from frequent visits.
Ate there on a Sunday and the sandwich was great and met all the right notes. The staff was quick to prepare and welcomed all the time. Definitely a great place to get a great sandwich.
10/10! Every time I visit, I always hear people talking about how important this community restaurant is to them. The service and food are exceptional. The food is amazing, and the atmosphere is filled with great people and positive vibes!
I think this was the first place I ever had gravy bread, over 20 years ago. It's pretty much as I remember it...delicious. I need to get back to try the full beef sandwich soon. I'm pretty sure I've only had the gravy bread. It can be tricky getting in and out with heavy traffic sometimes, due to its proximity to the traffic light.Food: 5/5

My mom brought me takeout from this restaurant, and it was my first time trying it—definitely not my last! The chicken salad was delicious, and the chicken rice soup was equally great. Since my husband works nearby, I might ask him to bring me some home occasionally. The food was fantastic, and I can't wait to try more items from the menu!
Best gyro in town (since smoke house left). Fast service, friendly staff, also have good horchata, excited to try new stuff!!
The best philly cheesteak sandwich on the planet! I order them often! They are hot and melty with cheese, and the bread is soft and chewy. The steak is so juicy it drips down your face. I don’t even attempt to buy them anywhere else!
