The food is tas... read more Ive been a Chicken Basket customer since High School in 2007, and I can say that it keeps getting better. The new owner has nailed the classics. The food is tasty, not too greasy, and never over-fried. I was pleasantly surprised to learn that thislocation also serves West African dishes. I have had a few of these meals which were fabulous. I also appreciate that the WestAfrican food is authentic yet made in a way that the spices are not overwhelming and anyone who is not used to the flavorprofiles can easily adjust. This restaurant is truly a gem!!

I placed my order and was told it would be rea... read more Don’t bother trying this place! I noticed the previous owner was gone, so I decided to give the new owner a shot. I placed my order and was told it would be ready in 20 minutes, but I ended up waiting 45 minutes. I understand fried food takes time, but that was excessive. When I got my food, there were hardly any fries, and the chicken tasted like it was cooked in old oil. My family tried the steak and cheese, and it was extremely salty. I called to complain, and the owner said everyone knows the steaks come pre-salted and that they were instructed to add salt. I explained that the previous owner, who I had been a loyal customer of for years, never made it that salty. She replied that they’re using the same meat given by the previous owner, then I ended the call—I didn’t want to waste time with someone unwilling to take responsibility. Don’t waste your money here. I get inflation is tough, but the prices and quality just don’t add up.

They have the best steak and cheese in town. The fries are well-seasoned and delicious. The chicken is made fresh to order. It's a hidden gem in Wheaton... Don’t miss out on this fantastic place to eat! I'll share photos on my next visit!

The owner got my order wrong despite me pointing out the opt... read more Do not waste your time ordering the dry chicken here. I was very disappointed with my recent visit. The owner got my order wrong despite me pointing out the options on their online menu. Then he tried to justify the mistake by saying they had to increase prices, which I found unacceptable. I ordered a spicy chicken sub combo listed at $9.50, which was supposed to include fries and a soda. Instead, I was charged $13 with no explanation for the extra cost or why the fries and soda were missing.
