Ordered the 12 piece family meal…chicken was very crispy with good flavor. The sides were fantastic (mac&cheese, baked beans and plantains). The price seemed a bit high but after seeing the portion size and 5-6 pieces of corn bread, it was worth it. I gave it 5 stars based on the food and portion size but I did experience some of the same complaints as others…girl at the counter was on her phone the entire time. It took 30 minutes to make the chicken but now I know to order ahead.
As for the food, the macaroni had no seasoning, and neither did the chicken. While the food was moist, it lacked any flavor. I was quite disappointed with my experience. I would have considered giving this place a second chance if it weren't for the woman who took my order. I have no plans to return and will advise others against visiting this establishment.
We called in our order over the phone for pick up. Ordered a chicken family meal, half fried half rotisserie. Showed up about 30-40 min after we placed the order. It was a Saturday evening and the place was dead, not one customer eating inside. There were two employees, one person cooking and one person at the register/counter. Upon my arrival I was told by the girl at the register that she didn't write down one of the sides we wanted. I told her it was the vegetables that were missing. She said she would have the cook make it. 20 minutes later they were done, then just before she rang me up, she decided to tell me they were out of rotisserie chicken and she gave us all fried chicken and asked if it was OK. Why didn't she say that on the phone or when I arrived? Also the entire time I was there waiting for my food, the girl was on her cell phone having a personal phone call with the other person on speaker or video. Even while ringing me up, other person still on her cell phone. This used to be a really good place. Not sure what happened, but I'm soooo disappointed because it was a great place that our family loved. Hope they get it together and figure out how to turn it around.
I believe this restaurant should be shut down. This is my second visit with my family, and once again, it was nearly empty. There seemed to be only two people working behind the counter, and the woman who took my order spent the whole time on her phone! The prices are exorbitant! I ordered chicken tenders, but they were dry and burnt, so I had to ask for a new order. The second batch was just as bad—I couldn’t even pull them apart. I ended up throwing everything away. And for the second time in a row, they still didn’t have biscuits on the menu? Seriously? I won't be returning again!
