What User doesn't like about Eastern Palace:
The positive aspects of this restaurant include decent food and acceptable service. However, there is no heating except for a halogen heater, no music, and lacks atmosphere. I would not return and recommend avoiding it. It is a shame because it is located right by the keys with a view of the estuary. View all feedback.

Someone recommended this place to us, otherwise we would have walked back out immediately. It wasn't inviting. A small halogen heater and a bedraggled, wonky Christmas tree the only attempts to make the place inviting. The chairs are white cotton, a rediculous choice for a...restaurant, they were grimy at best, some had footprints on them. The menu was grim, barely any choices, thought weirdly, they have an extensive menu that's only for take away'. The waiter was pleasant enough, but sitting doing nothing when we went in, maybe it's me, but the door windows could have done with a clean, there was a dead fly on the windowsill and in my opinion, you don't sit around when there's work to be done. We needed to ask for napkins. The food wasn't great. Pretty tasteless. I'm stunned to read some of the great reviews, it's like we were in a different place from these people. Bearing in mind this was a recommendation, we were very disappointed. There are so many great places to eat in Wexford, this isn't one of them. Poor

Do not be deterred by the simple decor, as the extremely friendly staff and delicious food make it worth staying. We dined at this restaurant during our visit to Wexford. Despite its unassuming exterior, we decided to give it a try due to other restaurants being closed (possibly due to a bank holiday). It turned out to be a fantastic choice. The staff was very polite, the food was tasty, and the meat was cooked to perfection. While we were initially the only diners, a few more guests arrived during our meal, some of whom came for takeout. If I find myself in Wexford again, I will definitely return to this restaurant.
From start to finish this new restaurant, only open two months is really gem. If you really like a genuine Indian experience, mild medium or hot, you won't be dissatisfied.
