Most of the staff is Italian.

Against the expectations I didn’t like too much the city itself - despite of Goethe, despite of the "Leika", but Schillerplatz, on which is located "Eiscafe Bacio", looks very attractive. The cafe is quite normal. Moreover, in Wetzlar there are or were three «Bacios”, although one of them seems to be closed not so long ago. But this has the most central location. The taste and quality of their ice cream, too, are not very surprising – it was usual "Italian"-like style. Although lemon with mint, brown sugar and rum was quite good. Besides the area, I found another reason to look into it – pouring rain. This June, it was too frequent, almost every day.

Eiscafe Bacio has a lovely little shop deep in the heart of the old city. Glamorous decadent ice cream concoctions are brought in real glass and are more like works of art. And for all the glitz, the price is still less than going to Dairy Queen in the states. An absolute treat for the eye and pallete.

I wish I had given this place zero stars (if only that was an option) the kerl has charged us 2.40€ and we gave him 5€. he refused to give us change again, prob... read more I wish I had given this place zero stars (if only that was an option) the kerl has charged us 2.40€ and we gave him 5€. he refused to give us change again, probably we thought we were stupid tourist. he pretended to have. his change given and lied that one of us had taken the change. we all checked (to give him the advantage of the doubt) and realize that none of us got it and he was lying. when we pushed him, he was really rude and disgusting, but finally gave us the change. one of us knew a German one and faced him. do not recommend this place for their unethical business motto. stealing from customers is wrong and particularly sick when they benefit from tourist. it was also frustrating that his 2 other employees were only likely to be aware and probably also observed on his scheme.
