The fish and chips, a popular dish, received mixed reviews with some saying the batter was heavy and soggy. Despite the food criticisms, the bar itself was praised for its cozy and inviting vibe, excellent service, and great selection of drinks. Overall, Cosy Joe's seems to be a hit for drinks and a good time, but may not be the best choice for those seeking top-notch dining experiences.
This place is not cozy. with a name like cosy joe’s I expected a decent pub with a few nice pints of guinness. this is a late bar for people who like alcopops and loud, music that is fair enough when they are in it. eating was very good, but we ate it as fast as possible and went over the way to matt molloy’s.
We visited cosy joe’s last Saturday in the oktober we were never on a place so inviting! all vaccines have also tested! we ordered food and it was amazing. we were so happy with the service that we decided later in the night for a drink, and we were so cheated that there was a dj. (all restrictions adhered to) great music, even played our song! dj sean was his name the best melodies! we have a hen party come and in any case cosys will be our number one in westport! we're gonna report!
Fantastic food, fantastic service and staff were nothing less than excellent. They went above and beyond for our Stag Party and really made our trip. Shout out to our man Ray for his first class hospitality and to our lovely barmaid Grace. Will definitely be back in the future!
Called in for a drink and the food looked good, when the waitress came over I asked what she would recommend, the burger which looked really good or the fish and chips, she said both were their most popular dishes. I asked was the batter crispy and I was told it was, the fish and chips is really good. Well all I can say is that she probably never tasted the fish and chips, the fish was dry and tasteless and the batter spongy. If a chef can’t cook a crispy batter, and serve really fresh fish it shouldn’t be on the menu in my opinion. I will come back here again but not for the food.
Get your drink at the bar- don’t expect to be waited on. Grab a seat by the window and you can catch the street action. We were there at 8pm on a Friday and had no trouble grabbing a table- 9pm and the place was packed
