However, I was disappointed by the high cost of the croissant and felt like I was overcharged during my visit to MBCo. This experience left a negative impression on me, especially since I was in a rush during my short stay in Montreal. I should have checked my change before leaving, but the bill was folded in such a way that I didn't think to do so. My main priority was catching a bus, which added to my frustration.

I highly recommend trying the salad with grilled vegetables or the delicious grilled veggie sandwich on pumpernickel. The food here reminds me of what you would find throughout Europe. The lattes are amazing, but I would suggest skipping the muffins. The staff is incredibly accommodating and went above and beyond to fulfill our special requests for pizzas and salads. The restaurant is now located on Stanley just north of St Catherine St, under the new name Moderne Bakerie and Co following the collapse of the corporate MBCo. It is a cozy place with plenty of outdoor seating, although it is often occupied by smokers.
